Hide Your IP Address

The Internet may offer effective tools for communication, but it also provides various ways of tracing a computer. While browsing the web, your IP address can be obtained without much effort and it can be used for reasons that are less than honest. This can be avoided by redirecting your Internet traffic through other servers. It may sound like something complicated, which you would see in movies, but it is not. The appropriately named Hide Your IP Address is a software that will protect your identity by changing your IP address. It features a compact interface, with a few options. All you need to do is enable the program and you are safe.

Installing the application will not require making any Internet related settings. You can just download the 767 Kb installation package and run it. After a fast installation process, you can run it and enable its primary feature right away.

The interface consists of a small, tabbed window. All settings can be made with simple check boxes or sliders. The software can hide your IP address immediately by clicking the large Start button, under the Hide IP tab. With this feature activated, a visited web site will not log your own IP address, but that of the proxy through which the program has redirected your Internet traffic. If a web site has region or country related restrictions, this is a good way to bypass them. It is also an effective way to protect your real IP from hackers.

It is possible to add your own proxies, under the Proxy checker tab. Simply click the Add Proxy button, type its IP and port and you are ready. You can also set the software to delete temporary Internet files, typed URLs, history, stored passwords and more. These options can be found under the Hide Privacy tab and they only require clicking a few check boxes. Under the Options tab, you can have the program run automatically at system startup, change the proxy server every few minutes or adjust the level of security or speed.
